Prayer Pleases God

God certainly wants us to turn to Him for help in every need: "Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I shall rescue you, and you will honor me" (Psalm 50:15). In His love, however, God desires that we speak to Him not only about our needs but also about everything that is on our minds.

As loving parents are thrilled when their children speak to them about both their concerns and their joys, so also God is greatly pleased when we discuss with Him everything that is our our hearts. We can pour our our hearts to God daily in prayer and tell Him everything! Such openness thrills our heavenly Father.

Pray with Confidence

We can approach God's heavenly throne with confidence borne of faith worked in us by the Holy Spirit. Through Jesus Christ we are adopted children of God (Galatians 4:4-5). God's gracious adoption gives us courage to pray. "For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, 'Abba! Father!" (Romans 8:15).

Jesus is the Key

Jesus makes it possible for us to speak with God. He has removed the sin-barrier between us and God. He makes it possible for us to approach the Creator of the world with even our smallest concern. The writer to the Hebrews makes it clear that Jesus was "tempted in all things as we are" and therefore understands us" (Hebrews 4:14-16). When we begin each prayer conversation with God by seeing His love and grace in Jesus, we can then pray with joy, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! . . . Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication WITH THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:4, 6).

We invite you to make use of the prayer request form so that we might intercede on your behalf with the heavenly Father. We give all the praise to God the Father that through Jesus Christ we might serve you in this way.
